What tests do we run to prove clients have an authentic ID?
Vaultie News

When it comes to verifying someone’s identity, accuracy isn’t optional.

At Vaultie, every ID we process goes through a series of advanced authenticity checks to ensure it is genuine, compliant, and verifiable. Our verification system combines advanced AI analysis with human oversight to deliver a reliable and transparent identity verification experience.

Below is a closer look at the tests we run and why each one matters.

1. Font Analysis:

Every government-issued ID follows strict design standards, including the specific fonts used for names, dates, and document numbers. Counterfeit IDs often fail to replicate these exactly. Vaultie’s system detects inconsistencies in typography, spacing, and character shapes that might reveal tampering.

2. Layout Analysis:

Legitimate IDs are designed with precision. The position of a birth date, signature, or hologram is part of a standardized layout. Our system confirms that every element on the ID is in the correct place, ensuring the structure matches what is expected from genuine documents.

3. MRZ Code Analysis:

The machine-readable zone (MRZ) at the bottom of an ID or passport encodes critical personal information. Vaultie verifies the integrity of this code to ensure it has not been altered or forged. A mismatch here often signals a compromised document.
